Sloppy Joe Bake

Sloppy Joe Bake
Want a really quick and easy recipe that will feed your family and have them wanting more? A friend of mine told me about this recipe that she had and it was a sloppy joe mix with Pillsbury crescent rolls. To make the sloppy joe mixture just fry up your beef (I used lean ground beef) with some onion (if you prefer) and drain the fat. If you don't like onions but like the taste then add some onion powder after the fat is drained. Add about 3/4 to a cup of ketchup (I used half regular ketchup and have spicy ketchup), add about a tablespoon of brown sugar, and if you want it a little spicy then add some chili seasonings. Take an 8" x 8" baking dish or bigger depending on how much hamburger you used and spray it with some cooking spray. I bought 2 packages of the low fat Pillsbury crescent rolls at Walmart because they were cheaper than the grocery store but also noticed that there is whole wheat as well. Use one of the packages to line the bottom on the dish, then add the sloppy joe mixture, then open the second package and just form the dough into mini crescent rolls and grate some cheese on top. Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes at 350 degrees or until the rolls are cooked on top and not doughy. Your family will be racing back to the kitchen to get seconds, I guarantee it!
